The Monon South Trail is a 60+ mile recreational rails-to-trails project that opened in segments in 2025. Ryan provided early engineering support to the development of the trail in its infancy and led the team that designed the first phase of construction, including 20+ miles of trail through six communities in Southern Indiana. Ryan also facilitated community engagement sessions, provided grantwriting support, and oversaw construction procurement.
